Estée Lauder Companies Korea has collaborated with the Korea Cancer Society to launch the 2026 Breast Cancer Campaign, coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. This initiative features the 'Pink Ribbon Hanok House', a space designed for consumer and community participation, offering learning experiences and valuable insights.

Founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1992, the global Breast Cancer Campaign is a key philanthropic endeavor for Estée Lauder Companies. Over the past 34 years, the campaign has significantly contributed to global awareness, education, support activities, and research related to breast cancer, now active in over 70 countries and regions. Together with the Estée Lauder Companies Charitable Foundation, it has supported breast cancer research and education initiatives, contributing approximately $182 million to save lives. Notably, over $146 million of this funding has advanced more than 400 breast cancer research projects through the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

In Korea, Estée Lauder Companies Korea has maintained a partnership with the Korea Cancer Society for 26 years, enhancing awareness and accessibility regarding breast self-examination information while providing tangible support for those affected by breast cancer. This year, beyond simply raising awareness, the focus is on imparting the importance of taking actionable steps for early detection with the establishment of the 'Pink Ribbon Hanok House.'

Operative from October 16 to 18 in Insadong, Seoul, the 'Pink Ribbon Hanok House' offers visitors a unique space to deepen their understanding of breast health and the importance of proactive health behaviors. Attendees will be able to engage with the recovery and hope stories shared by individuals who have experienced breast cancer. The program includes an exhibition of artwork showcasing these individuals' journeys, heartfelt video stories, calligraphy encouragement messages, breast self-examination experiences, educational quizzes, and hands-on content like creating pink ribbon ornaments, allowing participants to naturally grasp the importance of breast self-examinations and regular check-ups.

This culturally rich space combines traditional Korean architecture with the Pink Ribbon messaging, amplifying voices of women continuing their lives post-breast cancer, encouraging visitors to reflect on the significance of taking care of their health. Stories of recovery, courage, and hope shared by survivors aim to affirm the importance of small, proactive health measures to visitors. The 'Pink Ribbon Hanok House' will be open from 11 AM to 8 PM, without prior reservation, allowing entry upon presentation of a mobile invitation from the Pink Touch app.

In addition, the global landmark illumination initiative, which highlights significant locations in pink, will run from October 1. This includes Korean landmarks such as the Galleria Luxury Hall, Lotte World Tower, and Sebit Island, participating in meaningful activities for women's health.

This year, Estée Lauder Companies continues to promote its global campaign message, 'Breast Care is Self-Care', encouraging individuals to incorporate breast health into their daily self-care practices while emphasizing actionable health management. By fostering awareness of breast self-exams, regular check-ups, and healthy lifestyle choices, the goal is to motivate more individuals to adopt these health-focused actions as part of their routine, enhancing health and well-being.

Jean-Alexandre Havard, General Manager of Estée Lauder Companies Korea, stated, 'Through the Breast Cancer Campaign over the past 34 years, Estée Lauder Companies has continued to lead a global movement for women's health, enabling more individuals to acquire information and take action. This year, we aim to share the message that breast health management is an essential aspect of self-care within daily life, encouraging more individuals to take actionable steps towards their breast health through the campaign.'
