IMINE, a South Korean specialized beauty ODM company, is intensifying its international sales efforts, acquiring new clients to bolster its market presence. The company has added more than ten overseas clients in the past year, raising the proportion of new foreign customers to nearly 20% of its total.
The key to IMINE's growth in international markets is its proactive collaboration with local partners. By staying attuned to trend-setting formulations, new consumer demands evident in reviews, and merchandising changes in offline stores through its local brand and distribution partners, IMINE integrates these insights into its product development. This method not only informs product planning but also leads to the realization of innovative offerings that align with market demands, thus facilitating expansion beyond its flagship hydrogel masks to include toners, pads, and creams in the basic skincare segment.
To secure clients in major markets like the U.S. and Europe, IMINE has continuously participated in global beauty trade shows such as Makeup in New York (MUNY) and COSMOPROF, broadening its connections with overseas buyers. The company engages in discussions around product development and supply with clients acquired from these trade shows, actively converting these interactions into actual transactions.
This strategy is yielding results with new overseas customer acquisitions. In recent years, the average annual revenue share contributed by clients starting new transactions has been about 15%. By 2025, IMINE reported revenues from a total of 77 overseas clients across 25 countries.
The trend is particularly pronounced in the U.S., which has recently surpassed China as the largest export market for K-beauty. In 2024, a U.S. skincare brand, A, initiated a small-scale transaction with IMINE, which increased roughly ninefold to 2025. Notably, sales of skincare products surged approximately 6.4 times in just one year, with the range extending beyond ampoules to include facial scrubs, toners, and mask pads. The rapid scaling of collaborations in the North American market can be attributed to a combination of IMINE's product development capabilities and its clients' deep understanding of local market requirements.
Expansion of product offerings among IMINE's North American clients continues. The scale of transactions with a domestic trading and distribution company, B, supplying cosmetics in North America, has increased about sixfold from 2021 to 2025, demonstrating steady growth over the past five years. During this time, sales in basic skincare have increased about 5.4 times, reflecting an expanded collaborative scope from hydrogel products to include comprehensive skincare solutions.
IMINE is also achieving success in the challenging Japanese market, known for its high standards and barriers to entry. The scale of transactions with Japanese cosmetics company C has increased approximately ninefold from 2021 to 2025. This growth initially focused on sheet masks and has now expanded to include basic skincare and hand/foot care products. IMINE is diversifying its offerings by producing several proprietary brands for Company C, which operates in specialized channels in Japan.
Thanks to new customer acquisitions and the expansion of existing client transactions, IMINE's international revenue has seen substantial growth. From 2021 to 2025, the company's overseas sales grew by about 87%, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of approximately 17%. The North American and Asian markets have exhibited notable growth trends.
IMINE's broadening relationships with its clients are mirrored in its evolving product portfolio. Leveraging its established customer base rooted in hydrogel and sheet masks, IMINE is expanding its scope to include ampoules, toners, scrubs, and mask pads within basic skincare. Collaborations in the U.S. are extending from hydrogel to broader skincare products, and similar trends are evident in Japan where partnerships initiated with sheet masks have extended to basic skincare and hand/foot care.
As IMINE diversifies its product offerings to existing clients, the scale of transactions per client is also showing an upward trend. The company is committed to proposing products that align with local market trends and the growth stages of its clients, reinforcing its position as a total skincare ODM enterprise.
An IMINE representative stated, “As we attract more new overseas clients and build trust, partnerships with clients are continuously expanding from our existing hydrogel product line to skincare.” The company aims to enhance its connections with overseas clients by developing products tailored to market-specific demands and maintaining reliable production capabilities.
