AEQUWA, a new derma skincare brand focused on sensitive skin, announced that its flagship product, the Calming Azulene Serum, secured the top spot in the 'Calming Serum' category on the beauty platform Glowpick as of October 1.
The Calming Azulene Serum earned the first-place ranking in September, building on AEQUWA's dedication to creating products tailored for sensitive and easily reddening skin since the brand's inception.
Glowpick, which is based on over 5 million consumer reviews, provides rankings and awards for cosmetics, offering a segmented category ranking that reflects actual user evaluations. The serum’s first-place rank underscores its competitive strength recognized through genuine consumer feedback.
Engineered with sensitive and acne-prone skin in mind, AEQUWA's Calming Azulene Serum features key ingredients like azulene, panthenol, and madecassoside that focus on calming the skin. The product has successfully completed suitability testing for sensitive skin and non-comedogenic testing through ELID, the first accredited institution for dermatological clinical trials in South Korea.
Adhering to the slogan of 'Skincare for Sensitive Skin,' AEQUWA prioritizes selecting and verifying essential ingredients for sensitive skin over merely incorporating trending components. Its formulas omit ethanol, artificial fragrances, artificial colors, and oil-based ingredients, focusing on calming components.
According to a spokesperson for AEQUWA, “Achieving such a positive result from Glowpick based on actual consumer evaluations only six months after the brand launch is highly significant. We believe it reflects our focus on product quality and real user experiences rather than large-scale advertising.”
They further stated that AEQUWA will continue to introduce products for sensitive skin based on its formula principles, which emphasize placing verified ingredients precisely rather than simply following trends.
Moreover, the Calming Azulene Serum is also ranking first on Naver Shopping under major search queries like 'azulene,' 'azulene ampoule,' and 'azulene serum,' maintaining its growth trajectory. AEQUWA has recently expanded into the Japanese market by launching an official store on Qoo10 and plans to sequentially broaden its distribution channels and product lineup both domestically and internationally.
