Image Color House, an institution under the Korean Beauty Stylist Professional Association, conducted a personal color workshop for students in the Fashion Design Department at Kyungsung University on September 21. The initiative targeted students to help them grasp the fundamental principles of personal color, linking theory with practical applications in fashion and beauty styling.

The workshop began with foundational theories delivered by the association's Vice President Choi Min-ryeong and Education Director Shin Mi-sun, covering the characteristics of seasonal colors and the twelve types of color attributes. Students engaged in exercises that distinguished personal color types, examining the colors that constitute skin tones to understand warm and cool tones, followed by practical classification of skin tones.

Building on this theoretical framework, participants analyzed and matched cheek and lip colors corresponding to the twelve seasonal types. They directly compared suitable colors, allowing them to observe the impact of color on skin tone and personal image.

Additionally, the workshop included personal color diagnosis practices using draping techniques. Students experienced the actual diagnostic process, observing changes when colors were applied to the face and drawing conclusions about their personal color types.

The session concluded with practical exercises that matched seasonal types with makeup and fashion styling, providing students with hands-on experience in applying personal color concepts to actual image design.

Through this educational experience, students not only grasped the theoretical aspects of personal color but also engaged in color analysis, skin tone classification, color matching, draping diagnosis, makeup, and fashion styling comprehensively, fostering an understanding of the relationship between color and image.

Choi Min-ryeong and Shin Mi-sun addressed student inquiries and shared real-world examples of personal color diagnosis while discussing its applications in the fashion and beauty sectors. An official from Image Color House remarked, "Understanding color in the fashion design field is crucial to enhancing the quality of design and styling," expressing hope that the workshop would instigate a professional approach towards personal color analysis among students for future applications in fashion and image design.

Image Color House continues to develop specialized educational content in personal color and image analysis as part of the Korean Beauty Stylist Professional Association.
