The Gyeonggi Provincial Government and the Gyeonggi Small and Medium Business Center are inviting companies to participate in the ‘2026 Beauty and Health Materials Commercialization Seminar,’ scheduled for October 15 at the Gyeonggi Techno Valley in Suwon.

This seminar is designed to address the transformation in the beauty and healthcare markets, driven by the K-beauty trend and growing health and wellness demands. Public research institutions will connect their bio-materials and research findings with corporate technology development and commercialization, expanding collaboration between large and small enterprises.

Notably, the seminar will introduce six promising bio-material technologies verified for scientific efficacy by the Gyeonggi Small and Medium Business Center (Bio Industry Division). The disclosed technologies focus on areas including dementia improvement, blood circulation enhancement, skin whitening and wrinkle reduction, anti-allergy, atopic dermatitis improvement, and hair loss prevention. These materials can be utilized in product development and commercialization for companies in the beauty and healthcare sectors.

Additionally, a special lecture will cover ‘Commercialization of Public Technology in K-Beauty and Strategies for Global Market Entry’. An open innovation program will also be available, featuring participation from leading domestic beauty and health companies, such as Kolmar Korea.

Participating companies will have opportunities to present their technologies and engage in one-on-one consultations to assess the commercialization potential of their technologies. This collaboration will provide access to materials, technologies, and research findings that companies may find difficult to secure independently, fostering substantial partnerships that could lead to new product development and commercialization.

According to Eom Gi-man, Head of the Gyeonggi Bio Industry Division, “As trends in the beauty and healthcare market evolve rapidly, securing differentiated materials and technologies has become crucial for enhancing technology-driven competitiveness, which is essential for the sustained growth and market leadership of companies. We aim to actively link the science and technology-based bio-materials and research results of our center with local businesses, supporting their technology development and commercialization to proactively respond to the changing global market.”
