Global medical aesthetics company Cynosure Lutronic has officially launched its dual monopolar radio frequency (RF) device, XERF, in Singapore and Malaysia.
The launch event took place on September 22 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, attended by over 120 local medical professionals. The event included a demonstration of the XERF and academic sessions that highlighted the distinctive features of the dual monopolar RF technology and its practical applications.
Prominent speakers included Dr. Siu Thak Wah from Singapore, Dr. Smith Arayasakul from Thailand, and Dr. Ong Jin Kang from Malaysia. They shared clinical case studies, patient profiles, and treatment methodologies based on their experiences using XERF in various Southeast Asian markets.
Both Singapore and Malaysia are expected to see steep growth in the demand for aesthetic medical devices. According to global market research firm Data Bridge Market Research, the aesthetic medical device markets in these countries are projected to grow at an annual rate of approximately 13%. Cynosure Lutronic plans to expand the utilization of XERF in these markets by fostering collaborations with key local medical professionals.
Additionally, XERF recently received regulatory approval in Taiwan, further solidifying its expansion plans. The Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) granted approval for indications including facial fine lines and wrinkles, as well as for non-invasive dermatological aesthetic treatments.
In alignment with the Taiwan approval, Cynosure Lutronic hosted a pre-launch event for local medical professionals to strengthen its network with key customers. The event featured discussions on XERF alongside the company’s notable products, including PICOSURE Pro, DermaV, and LaseMD ULTRA, with presenters detailing the characteristics of each device and treatment designs for integrated use.
A representative from Cynosure Lutronic stated, "The launch in Singapore and Malaysia marks an important milestone for the expansion of XERF in the Southeast Asian market. We aim to strengthen our collaboration with medical professionals in this high-growth potential region and lead the market based on differentiated technology and clinical value."
