LG Household & Health Care's natural fermentation beauty brand, SU:M37°, has renewed its bestselling product, ‘Secret Essence,’ launching it in its fifth generation. The newly reformulated ‘Secret Essence’ is touted as an essential skincare product that awakens the skin's inherent brightness through the power of 8,700 hours of fermentation.

Since its debut in 2009, ‘Secret Essence’ has sold over 3.35 million bottles, establishing itself as a hit product. With this renewal, SU:M37° has introduced a three-step mechanism aimed at achieving a clear, glowing complexion, known as ‘glow skin.’ The process involves emptying unnecessary energy from the skin (Empty), replenishing essential energy (Recharge), and defending healthy skin (Defend). This foundational principle positions ‘Secret Essence’ as an optimal product for reinforcing the skin's innate strength, promoting a continuous skincare routine rather than a one-time application.

The first step, ‘Empty,’ utilizes SU:M37°’s proprietary ingredient, CYTOSISTM, derived from natural fermentation, to remove accumulated oxidative stress and impurities, thereby creating a clean skin foundation. After just one week of use, skin turnover cycles reportedly improved by 56%, with a 9% enhancement in skin texture after four weeks.

Once the skin is purified with CYTOSISTM, a 90% fermented extract is provided to hydrate and increase elasticity. Additionally, the reformulated essence includes a proprietary melting ceramide that is 14.4% finer and 2.12 times more abundant than the previous version, fortifying the skin barrier. Anecdotal evidence suggests that after one week of product use, there is a 62.7% improvement in skin barrier repair, with a 98% improvement in barrier density observed after four weeks.

According to a representative from the SU:M37° brand, “Secret Essence is a product born from our commitment to creating products for skin that breathes, built on our Bio-Breath™ Science heritage. We plan to continue our brand campaign pursuing the balance of wellness in daily life, which reflects the comfort of skin that can breathe.”
