Landing International, a global K-Beauty distribution company, is set to showcase K-Beauty brands at Nordstrom through its retail platform, K-Beauty World. This initiative marks a significant step in expanding the influence of K-Beauty within the North American premium beauty market.
As part of this launch, Landing International has introduced more than 200 products across three key categories—skincare, haircare, and color cosmetics—from 12 K-Beauty brands at Nordstrom's physical stores and online platform. The brands included in this rollout are COSNORI, APLB, 8grow, CHUNGMIJUNG, HAIRPLUS, ONE THING, P.CALM, YADAH, LINDSAY, DRYOPE, hanskin, and ROOTON.
The skincare and haircare ranges began selling online at Nordstrom and across up to 86 locations nationwide starting in June. Color cosmetics will follow, debuting in Nordstrom's Artisty section this fall after an online preview.
This launch illustrates not just an expansion of sales channels but also signifies the evolving status of K-Beauty in the North American market. Notably, the move shifts away from a price-centric model to embrace high functionality and differentiated technologies that cater to the premium beauty segment. This strategy reflects a growing consumer base, including affluent customers in the U.S.
Going forward, Landing International plans to analyze regional customer responses and preferences to continuously introduce K-Beauty brands that align with the North American premium market. The company aims to expand its presence at Nordstrom, focusing on high-performance and intensive care routines that resonate with the preferences of the retailer's core customer base.
According to Landing International's CEO, the company is strategically presenting K-Beauty across various channels, including Ulta Beauty, Target, JCPenney, and military retail, tailoring unique strategies that meet customer characteristics and demands. The aim is to enhance K-Beauty's market presence among high-spending customers aged 30 to 50 in the U.S. premium beauty sector.
