Premium herbal brand 'Suju' has announced its participation as the official production supporter for tvN's special 20th-anniversary drama '100 Days of Lies,' which premiered on the 10th.
The show features a thrilling spy romance set over 100 days, where the best pickpocket in Gyeongseong encounters an elite interpreter from the Japanese Government-General of Korea. Directed by Yoo In-sik, known for the successful series 'Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim,' in collaboration with writer Ryu Bo-ri of 'Do You Like Brahms?', the drama stars actors Kim Yu-jung and Park Jin-young.
Suju's decision to support this production is based on the synergy between the brand's identity centered around herbal medicine and the Gyeongseong herbal clinic depicted in the drama. The brand will be represented through signage featuring the logo and Korean script of 'Hanseong Suhan Clinic' prominently displayed within the show's key settings.
This production support aligns with Suju's ongoing campaign, 'A New Era of Herbal Medicine,' set to launch in 2024. With actress Lee Young-ae as its model in 2024, alongside actor Lee Jung-jae, Suju has been committed to introducing traditional herbal medicine as a modern health solution since last year. Through this drama, the brand aims to reposition herbal medicine as part of the K-lifestyle, enhancing its vision.
Suju, available in over 3,000 partnered herbal clinics nationwide, is evolving into a premium brand encompassing various herbal remedies including Gungjindan, Gyungokgo, deer antler herbal medicine, and Uhwang Cheongsimwon. Additionally, the brand plans to expand its product categories, starting with skincare products this coming fall, to integrate the value of traditional herbal medicine into contemporary lifestyles.
A representative from Suju commented, “We expect this production support will allow us to convey the traditional values of herbal medicine in a modern and approachable way through the content of the drama. We will continue to promote the value of herbal medicine across various platforms to create 'A New Era of Herbal Medicine.'”
