Korea-based health technology leader Philips Korea (CEO: Choi Nak-hoon) has donated 100 units of the Philips SkinPro 3000 electric shaver to the Hanbit Foundation, a social welfare organization, and has conducted training classes for students from Hanbit Blind School and users of Hanbit Blind School.
This initiative is associated with the 'Neatness at Your Fingertips' campaign, which began in August in collaboration with YouTube creator One Shot Han-sol. The campaign draws inspiration from the tactile experiences visually impaired individuals use when assessing their shaving condition.
During the training sessions, participants were guided in handling the products, learning proper shaving techniques, and understanding maintenance and cleaning processes at their own pace. Employees of Philips Korea also engaged in walks and conversations with the participants, fostering community interaction.
Lee So-yeon, Head of Personal Health at Philips Korea, remarked, “By participating directly in the training and spending time talking with individuals, we were able to hear and observe closely what kind of assistance is needed in daily life. It was a moment to reflect on how Philips' vision of improving people's health and well-being connects to the everyday lives of each person we met.”
CEO Choi Nak-hoon added, “The collaboration with Hanbit Foundation embodies our shared commitment to help everyone manage their daily self-care more easily. We will continue to support meaningful activities that meet people’s everyday needs together with our partners, ensuring that more individuals can receive better care.”
