Refilled, a brand under Constant led by CEO Jeong Geun-sik, has recorded its highest sales performance to date in the U.S. and Japan for the third quarter, as announced on the 22nd.

In August, sales at Ulta Beauty, the largest beauty multi-shop in the U.S., surged by 119.2% compared to the previous month, driven by the brand's growing momentum, resulting in a record Q3 performance. Unlike traditional rinse-off shampoo products, Refilled focuses on scalp care through ampoules and tonics designed to fundamentally improve the scalp environment, catering to the North American consumers’ concerns regarding scalp and hair loss. The flagship product, Cytokine cADPR™ Scalp Booster Tonic, has emerged as a hero product, accounting for approximately 58% of total sales due to its intuitive concept and usability.

In Japan, the brand's rapid sales growth signals a potential peak performance. Sales from Qoo10's large-scale discount event, Mega Warai, increased by 137% year-on-year and by 42% compared to the previous quarter, achieving Refilled's own highest sales. The Booster Tonic achieved the top rank in the scalp and hair care category during the teaser period of Mega Warai in September, validating the brand's market strength. The unique climatic conditions in Japan, characterized by high humidity, have led to positive consumer reviews highlighting the refreshing feel and added volume the products provide.

The growth in both markets has been substantially supported by Refilled's proprietary ingredient, cADPR (cyclic ADP-ribose), developed based on 27 years of scalp research data accumulated by Dr. Yang Mi-kyung, a medical doctor from Seoul National University. cADPR has secured academic justification through research published in SCI(E)-level journals and has been patented in South Korea, the U.S., and China, establishing global competitiveness.

Recently, cADPR has been recognized for its safety and efficacy, and it has completed registration for ingredient labeling with the Japan Cosmetic Industry Association (JCIA). The JCIA discusses cosmetic regulations and standardizes ingredient nomenclature for consumer protection, making its official registration a key indicator of ingredient competitiveness. Following this success, Refilled is planning to broaden its sales touchpoints offline in Japan, aiming to present its products directly to local buyers and consumers through major exhibitions like Cosme Week in 2027.

CEO Jeong Geun-sik of Constant stated, “With the achievements in the U.S. and Japan, we will actively expand the overseas sales of our cADPR-based scalp care lineup and strengthen our position as a leader in global consumer scalp care trends.”
