On the 23rd of the month, Samyang Group (Chairman Kim Yoon) marked its 102nd anniversary by hosting the 'Temperature of Sharing, 102°C' event at eight locations of the Korean Red Cross Volunteer Center in the metropolitan area. The event featured a charitable baking activity.

In celebration of the anniversary, over 200 employees, including members of the executive team, participated in baking four types of bread, including two products from Samyang's frozen dough brand 'Pre-Pan.' This initiative aimed to foster unity among employees and reinforce the importance of giving back. In addition to the bread made during the event, further contributions will be made until the end of the month using Samyang's choux pastry dough, amounting to a total of approximately 4,000 baked goods to be delivered to underprivileged communities in the metropolitan area.

Prior to the baking service, Samyang Group operated a blood donation bus as part of its social contribution initiatives, conducting a campaign to donate blood donation certificates. From the 4th of last month to the event date, about 550 blood donation certificates were collected from employees. These certificates will be delivered through the Korean Red Cross to patients in need of transfusions and to social welfare organizations.

Samyang Group has continuously engaged in social contribution activities aligned with its three core values: talent development, environmental conservation, and health promotion. Moving forward, the company plans to practice sharing and coexistence through ESG management, aiming to emerge as an innovative enterprise that provides greater value to society through specialty (high-functionality) materials and differentiated solutions.

In his anniversary address, Chairman Kim Yoon stated, “This year, we have grown as a global specialty company through the acquisition of Japanese flavor and fragrance specialist 'Soda Aromatic' and the expansion of high-value photoresist material supply from Samyang N-Chem. We are also instigating changes in our operations by building the group's AI platform 'SAMI 2.0.'

Chairman Kim also pointed out the rising challenges posed by geopolitical risks, oil price fluctuations, and the polarization of the K-shaped economy, emphasizing the increasing AI divide. He remarked on the importance of adapting flexibly to these changes to secure competitiveness in a highly uncertain business environment. “Despite our illustrious 102-year history, this does not guarantee our future,” he underscored. He urged the team to remain committed to enhancing global specialty business, stable cash flow management, and AI-based AX transformation as key areas for the group's ongoing change and innovation.
