The Korea Cosmetic Industry Institute (Director Jo Shin-haeng, hereafter ‘the Institute’) is set to hold the '16th Global Cosmetic Market Trends Analysis Seminar' on Thursday, November 26, at COEX Conference Room 308 in Seoul. This initiative aims to support local cosmetic companies in entering overseas markets and enhancing their export competitiveness.

The seminar will showcase the outcomes of the major business support initiatives the Institute has implemented this year. It will comprehensively provide essential information for domestic cosmetic companies' global expansion, including global market trends, consumption patterns, changes in regulations in key export countries, and corresponding strategies.

Topics to be addressed during the seminar include: an introduction to major business support initiatives by the Institute, an overview and utilization methods for the AI-based export information integration system (Cosview), case studies of global online marketing, key market trends in Asia-Pacific, North America, the Middle East, and Europe, strategies for responding to cosmetic licensing and registration in China and the Middle East, responses to EU packaging and packaging waste regulations (PPWR), and corporate strategies in cases of international patent and trademark disputes.

Notably, the seminar will also introduce the key features and utilization strategies of the newly developed AI-based cosmetic export information integration system, 'Cosview AI.' It aims to enhance access to export information for local cosmetic companies and improve the efficiency of information retrieval and regulatory compliance necessary for international market entry. Cosview AI integrates professional information in the cosmetic field, raw material information, country-specific export procedures, product label reviews, and searches for related academic papers.

This seminar is expected to accommodate around 200 participants, including representatives from cosmetic companies, research institutes, and academic researchers. Registrations can be made via the training and seminar menu on the Cosmetic Industry Information Portal, ALLCOS (https://www.allcos.biz/). Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and may close early depending on participant numbers.

Park Sang-hoon, a department head of the Institute, stated that the seminar would serve as a platform to share strategies for responding to changes in the global cosmetic market and export regulations in major countries, while also introducing the Institute's business support services, including the AI-based export information service. He expressed hope that it would provide substantial assistance to domestic cosmetic companies in formulating their overseas market entry strategies and overcoming challenges encountered during export processes.

The Institute continues to promote various information provision initiatives, including an 'Export Guidebook for Cosmetics' containing procedures and licensing information for major countries, and the 'Global Cosmetic Focus,' which offers insights into overseas markets, trends, and buyer information. Relevant materials can be accessed through the Cosmetic Industry Information Portal, ALLCOS.
