LG Household & Health Care's dermatological beauty brand PHYSIOGEL has exceeded 2 million units sold of its high-efficacy Vitamin C product, the Dailymun Ampoule. Since its launch in May 2021, it has sold approximately 1,000 units daily.
In September, the Dailymun Ampoule's sales at the health and beauty store Olive Young doubled year-on-year, achieving record revenue. The product has gained popularity among consumers with sensitive skin, being recognized as a low-irritation Vitamin C ampoule and a staple in their skincare regimens, ranking as the top item in the ampoule and serum category for repurchase rates within the brand.
The product's success is attributed to improvements addressing typical skin irritation and heavy, sticky application associated with Vitamin C formulations. Leveraging its R&D capabilities, PHYSIOGEL analyzed data from approximately 1,800 skin irritation cases and 485 genetic variants to develop a low-irritation Vitamin C solution suitable for sensitive skin.
Additionally, the ampoule features a pH of 3.3, optimized for Vitamin C absorption, which minimizes stickiness and enhances the application experience. It has also undergone stability tests demonstrating antioxidant effects lasting up to 125 hours (5 days) at 45°C.
Furthermore, the Dailymun Ampoule contains Vitamin C, E, and provitamin B5 (panthenol), reportedly improving skin defense against irritation by 4.4 times, enhancing skin elasticity by 26.6%, and improving skin luminosity after just three days of use. Consumer feedback consistently highlights improvements in skin tone and condition after regular use.
A representative from PHYSIOGEL stated, “The Dailymun Ampoule has achieved the high efficacy of Vitamin C with low irritation, a feat not easily accomplished by standard dermatological brands. Building on its domestic success, the product is also establishing itself in global markets such as China and Hong Kong, contributing to further achievements.”
