Wingate Korea, a global regulatory consulting firm led by CEO Son Seong-min, is set to participate in the in-cosmetics Asia 2026, taking place at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) from November 3 to 5.

Son Seong-min has been officially invited to fulfill multiple roles during the event, including serving as a judge for the Innovation Award, moderator for the global regulatory panel discussion, and expert consultant in the 'Ask the Experts' program. This engagement emphasizes the firm’s commitment to the evolving regulatory landscape in the cosmetics industry.

At in-cosmetics Asia, Wingate Korea will operate a booth (H90) while also participating in the newly introduced expert consultation program, 'Ask the Experts.' This initiative allows attendees to seek direct advice from specialists across various fields, with Son providing tailored one-on-one consultations on global cosmetic regulations and market entry strategies. This program is expected to be invaluable for companies needing guidance on regulatory requirements and strategies for introducing new ingredients in different countries.

Son Seong-min, who has been a judge for the in-cosmetics Asia Awards for several years, will also attend the awarding ceremony scheduled for November 3 at 5:15 PM, where the 'Nine Luminaries of the Asia-Pacific Beauty Industry' will be honored. Notable domestic awardees include Jeong Yong-ji from Caregen and Wi Hyun-jong from Skin Idea.

On November 5, Son will moderate a panel discussion focused on the global regulatory environment facing the cosmetics industry, highlighting critical challenges in market entry. This session will feature three experts discussing regulatory changes in various domains, including chemicals and cosmetics, within the EU context. Son aims to integrate insights on Asian regulations to enhance understanding among panelists regarding regulatory differences across countries and to discuss practical strategies for companies entering the EU market.

Son stated that "the global cosmetics industry must focus on innovation in ingredients and technical competitiveness, alongside safety and regulatory compliance, as critical factors for market entry." He emphasized the importance of exchanging insights on global regulatory trends while identifying practical challenges and necessary support for domestic companies in foreign markets during in-cosmetics Asia.

He further noted that, in addition to finished products, the excellence and competitiveness of domestic cosmetic ingredient industries should gain increased recognition in the global market. Wingate Korea will continue to explore overseas promotion and collaboration strategies to support the successful market penetration of domestic firms.
