On August 25, the Korean Federation of Small and Medium Business (KFSMB), led by Chairman Kim Gi-moon, inaugurated the K-Goods Fair at the ASD Market Week 2026 in Las Vegas, marking a significant push by over 140 Korean SMEs into the U.S. market.
The fair features more than 150 booths displaying a variety of K-Goods related to beauty, lifestyle, and other sectors, with participation from companies in the Export Consortium of the Small and Medium Business Administration, small business owners under the Yellow Umbrella Fund, and partners from Home & Shopping, alongside SMEs from regions such as Seoul, Gyeonggi, North Gyeongsang, and Chungbuk.
During the opening ceremony, notable attendees included Henry B. Hwang, Chairman of the Korean American Chamber of Commerce in the U.S.; Las Vegas Mayor Shelly Berkley; Sony Bin-woo, Outreach Director for Nevada; and Carolyn Sprouse, Senior Vice President at FORGE.
Prior to the ribbon-cutting, both the State of Nevada and Las Vegas City presented certificates of gratitude to Kim Gi-moon and Henry B. Hwang for their contributions to Korean-American business cooperation through this major exhibition.
Angel, a director at Bills Department, noted the increasing interest in Korean products, fueled by popular culture such as K-drama and K-pop. She expressed satisfaction with the variety of products available at the Korean Pavilion and mentioned plans for consultations on several items over the three-day exhibition.
Buyer Miguel from BeautyPro in Brazil shared his commitment to sourcing seasonal products at this exhibition, stating, “Experiencing Korean products on-site exceeded my expectations. K-beauty products with superior design and quality are appealing, and I believe they have potential in the Latin American market, so I requested samples.”
Seo Hyun-young, CEO of Skin&Plus, who participated again after signing a $2.5 million exclusive contract with a Latin American buyer during the previous ASD event in March, expressed her goal to successfully secure contracts with major North American retailers like Walmart and Costco through this second participation.
Chairman Kim emphasized the rising popularity of K-beauty and food products despite increasing uncertainties in the trade environment. He noted the heightened stature of Korean companies, citing the ASD organizers' invitation for their participation. He concluded by asserting that overseas expansion is now essential for SMEs, hoping that the K-Goods Fair will serve as a practical export platform for them to forge new paths in the North American market.
