JUNGSAEMMOOL, the K-beauty brand founded by renowned makeup artist Jung Saem Mool, is officially entering the U.S. market by launching at Sephora, the largest beauty retailer in the United States. The brand announced that sales will commence on August 21 at 34 key Sephora locations across the U.S. and on Sephora's official online store.
In alignment with its glass skin makeup philosophy, JUNGSAEMMOOL plans to engage local consumers through a series of participatory campaigns in New York and Los Angeles. The brand has developed 10 exclusive shades of its global bestseller, the Essential Skin Nuder Cushion, specifically for the Sephora launch. This expands its existing shade lineup to a total of 38, designed to cater effectively to the diverse skin tones of the local market.
The new shades include #20N Light Sand, #20W Light Nude, #21N Natural Beige, #34N Golden, #37N Golden Tan, #39C Deep Honey, #42N Mahogany, #43N Deep, #47N Rich, and #50C Ebony.
In addition to the Essential Skin Nuder Cushion, the brand will offer a comprehensive lineup of 58 products, featuring unique base and skincare makeup items such as the Essential Water Cream, Essential Water Micro-Fitting Mist, Artist Cushion Blush Blur, Lip Pression Metal Serum Gloss, and Prolasting Prep Primer.
JUNGSAEMMOOL will launch a major digital billboard campaign in Times Square starting August 24, highlighting its signature product, the cushion, known for its groundbreaking glass skin effect. The messaging will focus on the makeup keyword ‘TAP GLOW DONE’, aiming to reach a diverse audience of American consumers.
During the campaign period from August 24 to 26, JUNGSAEMMOOL will host a social photo challenge titled ‘Come Find Us in Times Square’ near the Sephora store, encouraging users to share their finds on social media.
Furthermore, sampling events named ‘Pang Pang Lucky Spin’ will be held near key Sephora locations in Manhattan on September 8 and September 12-13, where participants can spin for a chance to win products.
On September 19 and 20, JUNGSAEMMOOL will collaborate with the popular ice cream brand Van Leeuwen to offer a customized ice cream truck along the Sephora route.
The campaign will expand to Los Angeles in October, including a masterclass demonstrating Jung Saem Mool's skincare techniques for influencers and a mobile popup store providing product experiences on October 3 and 4 at The Grove outdoor shopping mall.
A representative from JUNGSAEMMOOL stated, “Entering Sephora marks an important turning point for the brand as it seeks to make further advancements in the U.S. beauty market. By expanding our distribution channels to include online and offline platforms such as our official site, Costco, and Amazon, we intend to present the essence of K-beauty artistry to American consumers.”
