B&P Korea, a specialized company in biopharmaceutical raw materials, has entered into an exclusive distribution and market development agreement with Meteoric Biopharmaceuticals, an Indian pharmaceutical and biotech raw materials company, for sodium hyaluronate (HA) in South Korea on August 26, 2026, in Seoul.
Under the terms of this agreement, B&P Korea will exclusively supply Meteoric's hyaluronic acid raw materials in the country and is set to enhance its technical sales and market development efforts across various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, tissue engineering, and other healthcare fields, targeting clients in fillers, eye drops, and injectable products.
B&P Korea has accumulated substantial market understanding and customer networks since it began supplying hyaluronic acid raw materials from French supplier HTL over a decade ago. The company has gained experience in managing the characteristics and quality documents required for different application areas, such as eye drops, cosmetic fillers, and injectable products.
This experience will be combined with Meteoric's production capabilities and raw material portfolio to provide a stable supply of HA raw materials with specified viscosity and other standards for South Korean pharmaceutical and biotech companies, alongside prompt technical support. A one-stop support system will be reinforced, focusing on reviewing required standards from development stages, sample evaluation, quality and regulatory documentation coordination, and commercial supply.
Hyaluronic acid is a key biopolymer used across various applications, including cosmetic fillers, ophthalmic eye drops, and injections, valued for its high moisture retention, viscoelasticity, and biocompatibility.
B&P Korea plans to suggest raw materials tailored to customers' needs regarding molecular weight, viscosity, purity, and levels of microbial and endotoxin management. Baenoeul, CEO of B&P Korea, emphasized the intent to provide reliable supply of competitive HA raw materials, leveraging their expertise and established trust from the HTL distribution experience, to effectively support product development and commercialization in fillers, eye drops, and injections.
Gaurav Gausik, CEO of Meteoric, expressed pleasure in collaborating with B&P Korea, which possesses thorough understanding and specialized distribution capabilities in the South Korean pharmaceutical and biotech market. He stated that this partnership would enhance the supply of high-quality hyaluronic acid raw materials in the South Korean market and foster long-term growth.
