Cosmecca Korea, a global cosmetics OGM (Original Global Manufacturer) company led by CEO Jo Im-rae and Park Eun-hee, has announced a significant investment of 200 billion won in the Ochang Science and Industry Complex in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province. This initiative aims to establish a next-generation manufacturing base to support the global expansion of K-beauty.

On the 10th, Cosmecca Korea signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the North Chungcheong Provincial Government and Cheongju City for the establishment of a new cosmetics manufacturing facility. Key figures including Jo Im-rae and North Chungcheong Governor Shin Yong-han were present at the signing ceremony.

Under this agreement, Cosmecca Korea plans to invest a total of 200 billion won from 2026 to 2030 to enhance skincare production infrastructure and strengthen manufacturing competitiveness in response to long-term global growth.

The new manufacturing facility will be situated on a 51,743 square meter (approximately 15,617 pyeong) site within the Ochang Science and Industry Complex in Cheongju's Heungdeok-gu. The company intends to construct a state-of-the-art skincare factory with a total floor area of 58,862.83 square meters (approximately 17,806 pyeong), thereby expanding production capacity and securing a reliable supply base for global business expansion.

Notably, the new facility will be positioned as a hub for 'intelligent manufacturing innovation,' fully incorporating artificial intelligence capabilities beyond existing digital transformation. This development is designed to establish a next-generation manufacturing system that can respond swiftly and flexibly to the surging global demand for K-beauty.

Cosmecca Korea plans to commence construction this month, targeting initial operations by 2027, with gradual enhancement and expansion of production facilities planned through 2030. This effort is expected to create approximately 500 new jobs, promoting local hiring and revitalizing the cosmetics industry ecosystem in North Chungcheong Province.

Jo Im-rae, Chairman of Cosmecca Korea, remarked on the significance of this proactive investment in the Ochang Science and Industry Complex, stating that it will solidify the company's status as a 'global K-beauty leading enterprise.' He emphasized that this year will mark the beginning of AI-driven intelligent manufacturing innovation, with a focus on building advanced infrastructure and expanding talent acquisition while fostering growth and collaboration with the local community.
