IBITA (International Beauty Industry Trade Association), led by Chairman Yun Ju-taek, held a discussion titled ‘2026 Review, 2027 Vision: Opening New Paths for K-Beauty’ on September 23 in the association's conference room. The event brought together representatives from second-generation Korean beauty media to reflect on the progress made in 2026 and to outline new visions for 2027.

Chairman Yun provided insights into the activities of the GCC Korea Global Committee, which is operated by IBITA as the sole representative of GCC Korea. This committee comprises chairs from various sectors, including universities, government institutions, related organizations, beauty and cosmetic companies, media, and legal sectors. The committee aims to enhance domestic and international collaboration through the GCC global network.

The main activities include expanding the visibility and network of K-Beauty within GCC countries, discovering new clusters and committees, enhancing global MICE cooperation, and pursuing exchange and joint projects with member countries across 19 GCC nations.

The upcoming 2026 Thailand Cosmetics Asia will take place from November 3 to 5 at BITEC, Bangkok. IBITA will offer special support for ten companies on a first-come, first-served basis, with exhibited items including cosmetics, skincare, color cosmetics, raw materials, fragrances, OEM/ODM, manufacturing technology, and testing equipment. This event is recognized as the largest cosmetics raw materials exhibition in Asia and provides companies an opportunity to access new export markets.

Looking ahead, the 2027 North America Miami Cosmoprof will run from January 26 to 28 and will feature a special K-BEAUTY ZONE. The unique geographical positioning allows for significant attendance from both the United States and Latin America, making it an essential networking venue for Latin American buyers.

The K-BEAUTY special zone will be strategically located in a seminar room at the front of the exhibition hall, allowing global buyers and industry professionals to focus on showcasing Korean brands.

Furthermore, the 2027 Saga Asian Beauty Expo and Cosmetics Science Forum will be held from March 2 to 4 in Saga City, Saga Prefecture, Japan, co-hosted by the Japanese government, JCC, and IBITA. This event aims to connect cosmetics science with the industry, featuring participation from cosmetics companies, researchers, and industry professionals from various Asian countries. It will encompass exhibitions, an international conference, networking reception, and industry tours to facilitate business and technology exchanges.

IBITA's chairman emphasized that these international events are designed to foster openings in new global markets and expressed confidence in their potential to bolster K-Beauty's growth on the international stage.
