BioPlus, a specialist in medical aesthetics, announced the official launch of its new 10cc filler products, 'Milimetric PRO ULTRA' and 'Milimetric PRO ULTRA X', in collaboration with Brazilian pharmaceutical company Cimed. The launch symposium was held on the 13th of this month at the Mondrian Seoul Itaewon in Yongsan, Seoul.
The Milimetric PRO ULTRA X is characterized by its firmer texture compared to its counterpart, Milimetric PRO ULTRA. This launch follows the acquisition of ANVISA approval for medical devices in Brazil, allowing BioPlus to target the burgeoning large-volume filler market while expanding its local operations.
The launch event, titled 'BioPlus x CIMED Launch Symposium', attracted approximately 70 participants, including around 50 Brazilian medical professionals and representatives from both companies. The symposium featured an academic session that provided insights into the product characteristics and application techniques related to the new fillers.
Dr. Choi Kang-hoon from Obliv Horizon Clinic served as a speaker during the academic session, detailing the features of the new products and sharing practical application techniques. This exchange of clinical experiences aimed to enhance understanding among the attending medical peers.
Cimed, recognized as one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Brazil, plays a crucial role as a key business partner for BioPlus. Both companies aim to deepen their market presence through the future introduction of the filler product 'Gel Milimetric PRO' starting in 2024, broadening their portfolio in the Brazilian filler sector.
Additionally, the two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the event to strengthen strategic cooperation in Brazil’s medical aesthetics sector. The agreement is expected to leverage both companies’ technological, manufacturing capabilities, and local business expertise.
During his visit, Cimed’s CEO João Adiver Marques also toured BioPlus's HUGRO Center on the 14th, situated in Gangnam, Seoul. The center showcases a customized biobeauty integrated platform, offering personalized skincare solutions using BioPlus’s proprietary biobased raw material, HUGRO. Visitors can experience and verify the formulation of skincare products tailored to specific skin types and concerns.
Looking ahead, both companies are exploring opportunities for collaboration beyond fillers, extending into the cosmetic sector as well.
