In light of recent discussions on the revision of EU cosmetic regulations, along with the latest regulatory changes in the U.S. and China, industry stakeholders are expected to actively participate in the event. The introduction of a cosmetic safety assessment system in South Korea indicates significant changes ahead for raw materials and formulations.
Son Seong-min stated the increasing importance of simultaneous registrations for multiple countries due to the diversification of exports. He emphasized that meeting country-specific regulations while responding swiftly to regulations is becoming critical. Additionally, the rapid increase in new regulations concerning environmental sustainability and advertising (including greenwashing) will present new challenges; maintaining product competitiveness while proactively addressing these requirements will be pivotal.
