The International Beauty Industry Trade Association (IBITA), under the leadership of Chairman Yoon Joo-taek, is set to leverage South Korea's competitive strengths in cosmetics ingredients and technology at the upcoming '2026 in-cosmetics Asia'. The event will take place from November 3 to 5, 2026, at the BITEC (Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre) in Bangkok, Thailand, where IBITA will manage the Korean Pavilion for the 15th consecutive year.
'In-cosmetics Asia' is recognized as the largest global business platform for the cosmetics ingredient sector in the Asia-Pacific region. It gathers raw material companies, R&D professionals, and cosmetics manufacturers and brand representatives to discuss and share the latest technological trends. This year's event will feature over 730 global companies showcasing core technologies essential for the future of the cosmetics industry, including biotechnology, peptides, next-generation active ingredients, sustainable materials, and multisensory beauty.
Significantly, the 'in-cosmetics Asia' will run concurrently with 'COSMEX 2026', which covers cosmetic OEM/ODM manufacturing, production facilities, packaging, and beauty devices, enhancing synergy by offering participants and buyers a comprehensive view of the entire supply chain from raw material sourcing to product development and manufacturing.
IBITA plans to expand its initiative beginning in 2027 by introducing the 'K-Beauty Prestige Brand Special Pavilion' within in-cosmetics Asia. This initiative aims not only to enhance Korea's existing strengths in ingredients and manufacturing but also to integrate outstanding domestic finished product brands into a comprehensive global cooperation framework.
The goal is to facilitate domestic beauty companies in discovering overseas raw material suppliers and technology partners while fostering practical business partnerships with local OEM/ODM firms and global distribution buyers.
IBITA, which operates approximately 85 Korean pavilions at international beauty exhibitions across 45 countries each year, emphasizes its commitment to supporting the global expansion of South Korean beauty enterprises. The participation in the Thailand event is expected to serve as a significant step in strengthening global networking.
Chairman Yoon Joo-taek remarked, "K-Beauty has now established itself as a core competitive force within the global cosmetics industry, transcending mere consumer trends." He added, "Moving forward, we must solidify our position in the global premium market by combining superior quality with independent raw material technology, R&D capabilities, manufacturing innovation, and brand trust." Team member Yoon Kyoo-yeon expressed, "Thailand is strategically significant for cosmetics manufacturing and distribution in Southeast Asia." He also indicated plans to collaborate closely with a global cosmetics industry network spanning 20 countries in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East through the GCC (Global Cosmetics Cluster) Korea representative office, expanding joint exhibitions, business forums, and technology exchange projects.
