The 2026 Summer SEOULCon, held from August 22 to 25 at the DDP, concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from global influencers and citizens.

As an extension of SEOULCon, Seoul's representative year-end event, the Summer SEOULCon highlighted Seoul's lifestyle to a worldwide audience, providing distinct experiences for over 3,000 attendees.

The event kicked off on August 22 with a free public party featuring performances by hip-hop artists GIRIBOY, lIlBOI, Giwon, and Marv, along with DJ sets from CHANXER, DNOPF, and JAESEUNG. The opening event, labeled the Summer SEOULCon HipHop Party, attracted around 2,500 visitors, setting a vibrant tone for the festival. Alongside performances, various side activities like a flea market featuring popular influencers such as Ryu Jeong-ran and events with substantial prizes enhanced the celebratory atmosphere.

From August 23 to 25, discussions at the DDP's Grass Room explored the interactions between global creators and K-wellness brands, content creation insights from Gold Button channel PDs, and environmental issues, showcasing the festival's diverse programming.

The meeting of global creators and K-wellness brands at the 2026 SEOULCon - Lifestyle; Seoul highlighted the potential for K-brands' global expansion through creator and brand interactions. The session featuring the PDs from popular YouTube channels such as “Knowledge Inside,” “Boda,” “Awesome Korea,” and “Money Inside” illuminated the competitive strength of K-content creation. Additionally, the Ask Creator x Miss Us panel gathered influencers from the climate and environmental sectors to exchange insights on the positive impact of content and sustainability, bringing the 2026 Summer SEOULCon to a close.

Participating global influencers effectively acted as private diplomatic envoys, sharing the allure of Seoul with various audiences through diverse content. The excitement for the main event of SEOULCon, which citizens experienced in advance, has notably increased.

The Seoul Business Agency (SBA) plans to continue presenting various engaging programs for global creators and citizens, maintaining the momentum leading to the upcoming main event of SEOULCon, scheduled for December 29 to January 1, 2027, at the DDP.
